Mantovani Boogie Man is an homage to the classic r&b, jazz and TV music from the 70s that I grew up with. Working in my little studio, I used royalty-free drum loops and added my own electric piano, organ, synth, bass, guitar, percussion and harmonica parts. I recorded myself improvising over the loops and these jams and little tunes began to emerge. Then I edited it all down to the best parts to create an album of single-length grooves. I think of them as instrumental B-sides of imaginary hit singles. This album was made purely for fun. Hope you enjoy it. (kk)
